Little Doses ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Little Doses mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the App.
1. Information we collect
Account information
- Email address and password (for account creation and login)
- Display name (optional)
Profile and medication data
- Child profile information (name, date of birth, optional photo)
- Medication names, dosages, schedules, and notes you enter
- Dose logs (amount, time, and related notes)
- Caregiver sharing and invitation data (Premium feature)
Device and technical information
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- Push notification tokens (to send dose reminders)
- Basic usage and crash data to improve app stability
Payment information
- Subscription status and purchase history
- Payment details are processed by Stripe (or Apple/Google for in-app purchases). We do not store your full credit card number.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate the App (dose logging, timers, reminders, history)
- Sync your data across devices and with invited caregivers
- Send push notifications for dose reminders (if enabled)
- Process Premium subscriptions
- Generate PDF exports of medication history (Premium)
- Respond to support requests
- Improve app performance, security, and reliability
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How we store and protect your data
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, and Cloud Storage), with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls so only you — and caregivers you explicitly invite — can access your family's data.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your data using industry-standard practices.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only:
- With caregivers you invite — when you use the caregiver sharing feature
- With service providers — such as Firebase (Google), Stripe, and Apple/Google app platforms, solely to operate the App
- When required by law — if compelled by valid legal process
5. Data retention
We retain your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g. subscription records).
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information in the App
- Delete your account and associated data (available in App settings)
- Opt out of push notifications (in App or device settings)
- Request a copy of your data
If you are in Australia, we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where applicable.
7. Children's privacy
The App is intended for use by parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Child profile information is entered and managed by the parent or caregiver account holder.
8. International data transfers
Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country (including the United States) through our service providers such as Google Firebase. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
9. Third-party services
The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase
- Stripe
- Apple (App Store / in-app purchases, if applicable)
- Google (Play Store, if applicable)
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
